In a stunning upset, Udinese clinched a vital 1-0 win against title-chasing Juventus at the Allianz Stadium. Lautaro Giannetti’s goal in the 25th minute proved to be the difference maker, securing just their third Serie A victory of the season and ending Juventus’ eight-game streak of H2H away defeats.
Despite Juventus’ dominant possession in the opening stages, it was Udinese who struck first against the run of play. Giannetti capitalized on a dangerous delivery by Lazar Samardžić to find the back of the net from close range, giving Udinese the lead before halftime.
Juventus pushed for an equalizer in the second half, but struggles in the final third and Udinese’s solid defense kept them at bay. Despite efforts from Arkadiusz Milik, including a disallowed goal, Juventus failed to find the back of the net.
The result sees Udinese move three points clear of the relegation zone, while Juventus will be looking to bounce back in their upcoming match against Hellas Verona.
