‘Haters gonna hate’ is a very famous sentence, but how can someone ever hate this guy? Mohammed Salah broke so many records, set so many new ones, and silenced everyone that was saying he’s just a “one-season wonder”.
Consistent First-Day Performances in the Premier League
Mr. Egyptian King scored in his first Premier League game for Liverpool in 2017, finding the net in a 3-3 draw against Watford. And then a new era for Liverpool began.
Then he scored on the opening day in 2018 against West Ham, 2019 against Norwich, 2020 with a hat-trick against Leeds, 2021 again against Norwich, and 2022 against Fulham.
That’s 6 seasons in a row! Total of 9 goals, sitting on the top spot in front of Rooney, Shearer, Vardy and Lampard, each with 8.
And yet, the haters will say – ‘but he did not score on the first day of 2023/24 in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea’… You are hilarious people.
Oh yeah, and he also scored in this seasons’s round 1 match against Ipswich, which makes it a total of 7 seasons. Try to beat that!

Most Left-Footed Goals in Premier League History
So obviously, this is an example that ‘lefties’ are not only good at math (or chess). Surpassing the previous record set by Robbie Fowler, Salah’s left foot is indeed “magical,” with his trademark curling shots and finishes.
Most Goals in a Premier League Season
In the 2017/18 season, Salah scored a record-breaking 32 goals in 38 matches, surpassing Shearer, Ronaldo, and Suárez. This earned him the Golden Boot and global recognition.
and a few more awesome records set by Salah
Fastest Liverpool Player to 100 Goals
Reached 100 goals for Liverpool in just 151 games, faster than any player in the club’s history. This reflects his unmatched consistency and huge impact.
Most Goals for Liverpool in the Champions League
Salah is Liverpool’s top scorer in the Champions League, with 42 goals and counting. His superb goals(and assists) have been crucial in Liverpool’s European successes, including scoring the opening goal in the 2018/19 final against Tottenham, contributing to the win, and lifting the most prestigious football trophy in the world.
Liverpool’s next match is against Real Madrid, which should be a thrill to watch. Check out some interesting stuff about it in our post here.
So, I think it is finally time for everyone who still is, to stop talking gibberish about Salah, cause he actually is a stunning football player, and instead – be proud to be alive in the same as such a legend and having the privilege to watch him play.
